Our mission is to safeguard the nation's digital infrastructure and information systems through proactive threat mitigation, incident response, and the promotion of cybersecurity best practices. Our vision is to establish the Maldives as a regional leader in cybersecurity, fostering innovation while ensuring the digital safety of our society.

Core Functions

NCSA is responsible for a wide range of functions designed to protect the national cyberspace. These include:

  • Developing and implementing the National Cybersecurity Strategy.
  • Operating the National Cyber Security Incident Response Team or CSIRT (CERT).
  • Conducting and facilitating cybersecurity awareness and training programs.
  • Formulating policies, standards, and guidelines for national cybersecurity.
  • Collaborating with national and international partners to combat cyber threats.
